I changed the shader detail level mid-race and all the shadows that were currently visible got “burned” onto the screen.

I’ve never seen anything like that before in Dirt Rally. Although changing graphical settings mid-game is usually a recipe for interesting glitches.

just wondering, what do you use for screen recording? Also I’ve had the same issue while changing some graphics stuff once in a while. note to self: stop changing stuff.

If they are using deferred shading, and had rendered them to a separate buffer, and that buffer didn’t get cleared, that could explain it.
/used to do a bit of graphics programming
